Christmas Cards for 2011

Rather belatedly, I'm posting my Christmas cards and a few details about them. I was happy with them because they were all slightly different but easy to create in an 'assembly line' fashion. I used hammered texture card stock horizontally to make a tent card style.

The feature on the front was stamped with Versamark and embossed with Hero Arts clear which gives quite fine detail. The stamp is from Penny Black called "...first day of Christmas". Each one is coloured with Distress Inks - spiced marmalade, pine needles, aged mahogany, barn door. Some sequin waste also came into the picture here and there. The card is white ice which gives a slight pearly effect not evident in the photos. The matts were cut from metallic card in various colours.

...first day of Christmas in many iterations.

Inside, the message is gold embossed.

Here are four examples of the final product. It was fun developing this card so that the variety was easy to achieve. I also wanted to make a card that could just be sent for New Year to friends who don't celebrate Christmas. All bases covered.  :-)

Thanks for visiting - hope you enjoy!

Ros.
