WOYWW No.160... not much creativity!

What's on my desk this week is Discipline! Yesterday I went up to town to my favourite paper art shop where they were having a sale. I bought quite a bit of stash and now I'm recording what I bought which takes a lot of Discipline. Hard to resist getting right into it - new stamp sets, additional Dylusion sprays, some Memory Box dies.

The desk at large, a slightly different view from usual.

Up close, the Book of Stash. Stamp set to the left, dies to the right, liquid pearls ahead.

Why would anyone be interested in desks? Well, quite a lot of us are very interested, and visit lots of desks each Wednesday as we launch from the Stamping Ground for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. Have a peek and then you'll appreciate how much we learn from each other.

Thanks to all my wonderful visitors last week. I learned heaps from you about the die-cutting connundrum not to mention lovely ideas from your blogs. Thanks for your generosity.

It's quite late and I've just put up two sourdough loaves to prove overnight - I'm done in after a busy day.

See you round the Stamping Ground,
Ros.

I am so impressed that you keep a record of crafty things you buy, that is real dedication! Mind you if I did that I would not end up with two of some things - I never learn. Sourdough bread sounds lovely too. Crafty hugs, Anne x #57

You have me beat, Ros. Everyone thinks I am so uncluttered and so organized and I do know where everything is, but not always exactly what I have. Why? Because I've never done all the work you are doing by indexing your supplies. I'm envious! I wish I had done that from the very beginning. Now it would take my months to do . . . Have a great week! Hi Ros, great shots of your desk and I do admire your Discipline ... I've never even thought of recording my purchases, let alone how much they cost ... the truth is far to hard to bear :) Love the antique sewing-machine stamp. Wishing you a happy week. Elizabeth x #17

I'm impressed that you keep a log of everything you have. I started one long ago and abandoned it shortly after. It does take discipline! And motivation, which is what got to me, I'd procrastinate to the point I'd forget. It looks like you got some great new goodies. You'll be playing with them in no time!

Gosh Ros, that's impressive. I have a tendency to write stuff down but then never refer back to it.
I do that all the time with recipes but I guess I can print off your recipe though, so that's a help!
You have some great stuff there so obviously you'll be having a fun time soon.

I admire very much the fact that you are able to record all your stuff because it must save you so much in the long run, no duplicates, use up what you've got etc etc. It makes me realise though that I could never do that, I'm just not dedicated enough :(
Love those old sewing stamps, what fun they are!!

My goodness I would not know where to start recording and then do you record the cost, ouch, not good. I really don't want to know how much I spend LOL..... I admire your dedication, it's very impressive.

Thanks for popping on by much appreciated, I love to hear from you.

Lovely stamps to the left and I notice to the right some Memory Box Dies - too nice to refuse aren't they? You have more Dylusions than I have and I don't live that far away from her - a cock stride as they would say in the north of England.
Just read the Dukkah recipe for my friend Jo - yes pelase can we have the other one with the couscous.
Hugs, Neet xx

Sounds like you've done some lovely shopping there, but I'm not sure about recording it all, that sounds far too organised, lol.
Memory Box dies are fab aren't they.
Have fun with it all.

That is one busy desk there, but I am impressed you catalogue your stash! I do make a note of my ranger inks so I don't keep buying the pretty ones! Or else I would end up with lots of purples!! Hee Hee!
